Thankful, Happy Me

Posted under Party, family

Been busy since my mom arrived in Manila Feb 22. We went to my cousin’s wedding on the 28th. Doctor on the 12th and 14th. Things went well. My mom’s doctor has stopped the diabetes meds and the bp maintenance meds. The cholesterol is a bit high so my mom has started taking meds for that. We also got good results from our eye doctor. My mom didn’t even need reading glass but well, knowing my mom she wanted to have one so we bought one. Hahahaha. My laser treatment had healed well and I am now only required to have annual checkup.

After every check-up, me and mom shop and dine out. We went to Pancake House, Robinsons Metroeast on the 12th and had Pork Vienna and Fried Chicken. On the 14th, my mom chose Burgoo at SM Marikina and we feasted on shrimp and rib platter and cranberry juice.

Nanay Nanay is checking what’s on the menu.

I love Oreo Cheesecake. Burgoo is one of my fave restos.

shrimp-and-ribs-platter We settled for shrimp and rib platter.

breadtalk We took home some baked goodies for merienda.

Am so thankful despite the doubled expense. God always provides anyway.

Busy Week, Happy Day

Posted under Friends, General

A few days ago, I was short. Money. Moolah. I didn’t have enough. I have so many bills to pay. Internet, utilities, mortgage and to add up to the stress, I need to pay for real property tax. Okay, I missed paying last year so there is penalty. Aaaargh!

So I paid my mortgage first. Went to Makati after attending a presscon at Bonifacio High Street. Sigh of relief. Then the real property tax. I went to the Annex and paid for it after attending another presscon at the original Max’s Restaurant in Roces Ave. along Sct. Tuason in QC. There’s penalty but I got discount too for paying for the rest of the year, in advance. I was expecting to pay more so when the assessment turned out to be lower, my mood really changed.

I also got paid for my sideline, the Italian account or is it UK? Then the American account was sent thru PayPal too. So now I have enough for my credit card bill and water bill and I can even buy meds for my mom, go to my eye doctor and save a little.

Now, am waiting for that million peso!

God has always been good to me. Thank you!
